Now it is 2015, a fresh start, a fresh outlook, new goals, adventures, and challenges.
I feel like I say it every year but I really do feel it so I'll say it again....2015 is going to be a good year (and for the record 2014, 2013, 2012, 2011, 2010, 2009...those were all good years too!)
Today is January 5th. So far this year I have gotten a new haircut, Duncan has booked just the two of us
In full disclosure... Quinn has also been sick for all 5 days of the year and my new Christmas Fitbit has told me I have only been active 24 minutes for the whole year :/ so yes we already have some work to do.
Today also marks a day of normalcy. Duncan went back to work today and the girls are back to regular scheduled programming of gymnastics, school, play dates, birthday parties, etc. The Christmas decorations are put away, the project list has been made, I have started reading a book (and am half way through, woohoo), and I'm ready to kick this year off with a bang.
I don't make resolutions because I feel like that word sets you up for failure. I set goals. I will add and change them throught the year or month but this is what I am working with right now....
no alcohol January
read 20 books in 2015 (currently reading 'What Alice Forgot')
healthier eating
get back in shape... no more baby excuses
get a dog
print pictures from 2014
pay attention to what really matters (I'm going to read 'Hands Free Mama' next)
get a manicure and pedicure
twin beds for the girls and redo their room
Here's to a great year full of big birthdays (I turn 30), big trips, big changes, small challenges, and big fun with family and friends! Bring it 2015!
